Dr Mark MurphyJoining me this week on the Practicing with the Masters podcast is Dr. Mark Murphy. Mark is the lead faculty for clinical education at MicroDental and DTI, Dental Technologies. He serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and the Pankey Institute, where he serves on the Board of Directors.

Mark still practices dentistry on a limited basis in Rochester, Michigan. He lectures internationally on leadership, practice management, communication, case acceptance, treatment planning, occlusion, and TMD.

Mark is also the principle of the web-based application, Funktional Tracker, a behavior tracking App marketed towards Dentists who wish to improve their practice, through a combination of daily user inputs and data synchronization with office management software. The application lets small practice owners track and correlate desirable behaviors of their staff with key performance indicators that measures the success of their practice.

Mark’s favorite quote is, “Once the student is ready, the teacher appears.” He believes that when you are ready, you will hear things you never knew before and that’s when transformations occur. With his help, you can learn how to track actions in your practice, retain your patients and ensure you are not leaving money on the table.
