Celebration of the Completion of the Full Mouth Rehabilitation<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

When we finish a big case, this is the process we go through to celebrate it’s completion <\/strong>and all the time, money and commitment that went into it (by all parties!)   We try to do this every time and it’s really fun! <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n\t<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Prior to this appointment (at the last bite tweaking and polishing and finishing everything), we took after photos and have made them a before and after book. We have also done some research (paying attention to what the patient likes or asking their spouse, etc) to find out some of their favorite things and have bought them a gift and written them a nice note of appreciation. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n\t<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
This is generally how the appointment goes (much of this I learned from Bob Frazer-Thanks, Bob!):<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Maybe check the bite or polish or check the nightguard if necessary.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Talk to them about what happens now, the importance of maintenance and regular recare. Do they know their recall frequency?<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Ask them how they feel about the care and treatment they received… Do they feel it was worth all the time and money? It’s important to us that they feel they received a good value.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Give them the before and after book, gift with card–remind them where they started (look at the pictures with them). Ask them for permission to use their photos and have them sign a release\/permission form.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Compliment them on their commitment and talk about how neat it is that they did this.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\t<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
    Let them know that we’ve gotten them to the point where they won’t need any dentistry for a while.<\/strong> I tell them something like this: <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

    “As we try to be comprehensive in your care, we find that once we finish your restorative dentistry, you have minimal needs for years to come. For this reason, we need to continually add new patients to the practice. If you know anyone who needs this kind of dentistry or would appreciate our high standard of care, please let them know about us. We’d love to take care of them.”<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    We will take a group photo with our team and the patient, print it out and add it to the book on the last page. We all sign it.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
